Don't get me wrong... I appreciate the compliments and flattery I get for my "vertical blessing"... but that's as far as it goes. Okay.... call me a "HEIGHT BIGOT"... I admit wholeheartedly that I am. I'm fully aware that genes are responsible for my height, as well as being responsible for the lack of it in others, and I respect that. I think I'm vertically blessed and I wish to partner-up with someone that shares my blessing. Unfortuneately It seems that for all the conversation I see in print of taller men LOVING taller women, what I see is the opposite. Anyone wanna explain this to me??? As I become older, my "pickings" seem to get slimmer. I wonder if I will remain single for the duration of my life...

YES Diva, SOME men are intimidated by women being as tall or taller than them! But I've found in my older age, men LOVE taller women!! My daughter just graduated H.S. she plays volleyball, and going away to college soon, she is now dating a guy who is 5'8", as she is my height 6'1" tall,,, I encourage her to flaunt it, and she gets a lot of remarks how they look so cute together!! He treats her very special, as she should ALWAYS be treated!! I'm so PROUD of both my TALL daughters, and I will ALWAYS encourage them to flaunt their height, NEVER feel down on it!! I was NEVER athletic as they are, silly me, my height kept me from feeling I fit in,,, I don't ever want my daughters to feel that way as I did, EVER!!! They say there is someone out there for everyone,,, One day you will meet your TALL PRINCE CHARMER,,, Or maybe a short one, doesn't matter, just matters how he treats YOU, GO FOR THE HEART!!!! So hang in there girlfriend, and just keep being YOU, the special person that you are inside and out!!! ;)

I can't say that what you're saying doesn't have some truth to it. Don't get me wrong, I HAVE dated shorter men in my life, and it just didn't work for me. There always seemed to be an underlying degree of intimidation... (certainly not related to my laid back easy going persona) which made him feel like he had to overcompensate in aggressiveness. It was either THAT, or I found out he was a submissive and was unhappy when I was found not to be the dominant type he was looking for. I don't know Leggzzz, I just feel as if looking a man in the eye puts us on a sort of equal footing, thereby skipping over the height issue...

Don't cut yourself short,,, There are good out there, but sometimes they don't always come in TALL packages!! I always held myself for a tall man, I've been blessed with 2 tall daughters, and I try to teach them to go for the heart, NOT the height!!! I guess the older you get, the wiser you do become!! Or maybe its the broken hearts you've endured, or maybe in my case the physical pain,,, whichever, LIFE is short, and so are alot of people out there who have good hearts, just too many don't want to show them!!! If you run across a TALL one or even a short one, if he has that true heart, and see's you for who you really are, I'd open your doors to just experience that good feeling in life,,, better to share your life with a good person at any height, as long as he treats you the way you deserve to be treated!!!
